BAR HARBOR, Me. May 1, 2022 — Quality Inn Bar Harbor, a hotel located in Bar Harbor, has announced that it will operate under a new name and will be known as Port Inn Bar Harbor Maine. This rebranding strategy reflects a change from the Quality Inn brand to Ascend Hotels brand, as it shifts focus to provide an even better customer experience for its guests. With it, the hotel revealed a new logo and website, highlighting the boutique experience returning guests have come to expect from the inn. 

The Port Inn Bar Harbor rebranding is not just cosmetic. In addition to the new graphic identity, the hotel has invested $1M in capital improvements and renovations. Structural enhancements have been made to buildings, roofs, and fencing, and the bathrooms have been completely remodeled. In addition, the inn upgraded the WiFi system, and now offers Gilchrist & Soames amenities, as well as updated modern bedding and local-inspired artwork.
